Geely announces parts logistics partnership with DB Schenker

Australian consumers value a seamless car ownership experience, a priority shared by Geely Auto. As they prepare to launch the EX5 in 2025, finding a partner for end-to-end supply chain support is key.

To fulfil this requirement, Geely appointed DB Schenker as the brand’s Australian parts third-party logistics (3PL) partner. The scope of the contract includes stock and storage management, importation and customs clearance of all parts, and detailed local logistics to service authorised dealers and assure service customers with agility Australia-wide.

The parts supply chain is a key component of an extensive, superior customer service experience program Geely is developing for its debut in Australia, with the area being led by experienced executive Kieren Gradidge, Geely’s Aftersales Director.

“Customer satisfaction is a key driver for Geely at a group level,” says Li Lei, Head of Geely Auto Australia.

“The partnership with DB Schenker will provide our customers with the confidence that any parts required will be readily available without the need to wait for lengthy importing processes to enjoy the cars they have chosen.”

The understanding of the highly regulated nature of electric vehicle battery logistics was important for Geely when appointing a technically oriented 3PL provider who could manage such sensitive storage requirements and transportation solutions with a meticulous, safety-first approach.
